ECONOMY & MARKETS
Let's look at the economic data:

The GDP in the United States expanded 2.5% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The U.S. unemployment rate rose to 4.1% in February 2025, up from 4.0% in January.

The annual inflation rate in the US eased to 2.8% in February 2025 from 3% in January.

The Fed kept the federal funds rate unchanged at 4.25%-4.5% during its March 2025 meeting.
Overall, the economy is healthy. However, the economy can change fast, like the weather on Mt. Everest.
There has been some volatility in the markets. Right now, the S&P 500 index's return is hovering between -4% and -5%. Why does volatility occur when the economy is healthy? The markets and the economy are not highly correlated in the short run. Plus, the market tries to stay ahead of the present. Thus, future expectations are crucial in some manner.
There are so many variables that it's hard to come to a precise conclusion. However, one of the big factors is market participants' expectations of government policies - especially Donald Trump's policies.
The market volatility we see as an overreaction. We have found many high-quality undervalued companies, we stared to buy stake in. The greater the market volatility, the more aggressively we will buy and sell. We believe our portfolio will do great in the long run. In all, the value of the assets we own has gone up, while the market prices has gone down. We believe the market is a voting machine in the short-run but a weighing machine in the long-run.
